I used to play an mmorpg in french called dofus.
http://community.dofus.com/mmorpg/download/full.html
Rosetta stone, pimsleur, and the late michel thomas also have several language courses, but they’re not free unless you use torrents or p2p.

I am not a language …
I am not a language teacher but I do hold a masters degree in psychology and I can tell you that children have an incredible ability to learn languages between the ages of 2 and 6 in particular. They will learn different languages not as individual languages but as one language with different ways to say the same thing. It comes naturally to children during these years. Go ahead and speak your natural language to them and they will absorb it like a sponge.

@happykatkat thanks …
the good thing is that since me and my wife have been with eachother a while now we I can understand Finnish but not speak and she is the same with German so we can resopnd to eachother around our kid without breaking language. So in theory our kid will think German = daddy language and Finnish= mommy language
@happykatkat thanks

Hi SHTFzombies,,, I think you have a good plan! Your child will learn English sooner or later anyway. If anything, don’t let your kid watch any TV in English, or else they’ll focus on that and it’s gonna be hard teaching German or Finnish or any other language for that matter.
