I’m looking for a mystery book with no movie connection, and was wondering if anyone knew of any. It should be for someone between 12-18 years old.

A few years ago I read a bunch of mystery books by an author who had initials instead of a first name. I don’t remember who it was.

Roland Smith is a good one. Look at his IQ book series. It’s more conspiracy-mystery, though.

I need some good mystery books for girls! I’m 13 years old and I’ve already read most Nancy Drew books. I’m not a fan of the Hardy Boys so don’t suggest that please! (Don’t suggest twilight either…ew.) I’m a pretty fast reader so alot of books would be helpful. Thanks!(:

Try the Sammy Keyes series. I think the author’s last name is Van Draanan. It’s still getting sequels and is set in our time.

If you like Nancy Drew, try Trixie Belden, they were written around the same time.

There is also The Anthony Monday series which is a bit more fantasy like and the author has several other series’.

Im a girl in middle school & need a science fiction or mystery book for a project. I don’t want it to be more than about 150 pages cause i don’t have that long to read it. If it’s less than 150 pages than that would be good. Thanks

I just loved "The White Mountains" by John Christopher. It is a little over 150 pages but not much at 164 pages. If you want a riveting read try "The Hunger Games". It’s longer but it will keep you up at night just to finish.

I’m looking for a good romance and mystery book. Romance and suspense or thriller is fine as well. Please no Vampire books I’m getting sick of them! (I’ve read about 7 including the Twilight Saga)

That I can think of:

Sarah Dessen books are always good for romance.
The beautiful dead series is kind of a mystery with some romance and all my friends like them
The Luxe series, again a romance with a bit of a mystery.

Might not be your sort of thing but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Malorie Blackmans books; Noughts and Crosses is the first one, very romantic but also sad

I love ghost stories my Mary Downing Hahn, but I’ve read all of them already. I also love the Pretty Little Liar series, but i finished it. If you know any really good books, even if they aren’t mysteries or ghost stories, please suggest!

Does anyone know of a mystery book that has a Trans character as a main character? No sexual or surgery stories please. I’m looking for a non-wordy book.

I know this is pretty irrelevant, but there’s this Canadian animated comic style cartoon I used to watch called "Cybersix". It’s about a woman who dresses as a man during the day but at night she fights monsters in a weird latex suit and high heels..

o_o.. Ok maybe this was completely irrelevant. Oh well.. maybe someone will be interested in it.

I have not read Deeper Than Dead, however I just finished The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. it was a great mystery novel, I highly recommend giving it a read! WARNING: The book gets gnarly at parts so proceed with caution if you have a week stomach!

I an 18 year-old college student. I want you guys to recommend me some good books that doesn’t involve ANYTHING supernatural. Just like: stalking, psychos, murder mysteries, that sort. Authors/books that are very similar to R.L. Stine’s Fear street series. The thing is, I’m done reading all his books and now I’m looking for books that are similar. Anything cool and interesting.
