Good book covers for paperback books?

June 152010

What do you think is a good book cover for paperback books? Something like plastic cover or anything else. . .

They sell this clear stick-on book cover stuff at office supply stores that I like to use on my paperbacks. I’m not sure what it’s called, but it comes in a roll and you cut it to size for each book. It’s even removable and pretty inexpensive, and it keeps the covers from getting ruined. My bags tend to destroy paperbacks otherwise.

Whats the difference from (mass market paperback – reprint) books and paperback books?

May 132010

I was on Barnes & Noble.com and some book say (mass market paperback – reprint), and others just say that there paperback books. Are they the same in size? Or is there nothing different about them and they’re exactly the same?

A mass market paperback is the smaller size paperback that you see in racks at the grocery store. It says reprint because the book probably was originally published as a larger paperback or hardcover.

The three main formats for books are:

Mass Market paperback-this is the small size printed on cheaper paper.

Trade paperback-this is any paperback bigger or smaller than a mass market. they are usually printed on slightly nicer paper. An example of this would be Twilight with the apple on the cover but they aren’t all that size just bigger or smaller than mass market.

Trade cloth or hardcover-these are the same. just regular hardcover books.
