Does anyone sell paperback books on the web?
February 112010
Hi, I’m looking for a website that I can sell my paperback books in the USA. The ones that I have found either are not secure (https) or only offer store credit. I’ve sold some college textbooks to some but I have a whole bunch of novels and kids chapter books that I’m looking to sell. Let me know and thanks to all.
I just want to add not ebay or amazon. Those are bid auctions. I would like to find one that pays you directly a specific fee for the books that you offer. Thanks
Amazon’s used books are not an auction. Look up your book (preferably by ISBN, to get the exact edition) on their site, then click on "I have one to sell" or similar link. They will walk you through the rest. Warning though- most paperbacks are very cheap online, you have to give Amazon a bank account number, and you have to check your account every day or two for sales. All to earn a buck or two, in many cases. It might be easier just to sell them to a used bookstore. If they are decent books, you will probably get a buck or two a piece for the ones they want.

Did you forget about Amazon.com?
EDIT: Amazon is not an auction site. Another online used books store that you can sell used books on is http://www.alibris.com/
