She thinks it’s really strange how the day felt like repetition and the coincidence that it was a year after her first day. Bella realizes that she simply wants to hear Edward’s voice again – the perfect, crisp tone unlike the echoes of his voice in her memory. She thinks that she might need deja vu in order to get back the voice, so she takes off driving towards the Cullen’s house …

Chapter 9 “Third Wheel”

Time starts to pass much more quickly between school, work and Jacob, and she’s not miserable anymore.

Jacob wishes Bella a happy Valentine’s Day and gives her a small pink box when she arrives at his place for a homework session. She has totally forgotten, and he jokingly pressures her to be his valentine! They make sarcastic remarks, and Bella feels the need to make sure the boundaries are quite clear. The two discuss plans, Bella says she can’t make it on Friday, but after seeing Jacob’s disappointment, she quickly adds that he should come along to the movie! He’s pretty excited that she wants him to hang with her friends, and notes that Quil will be happy to meet her senior friends …

Chapter 19 “Race”

The chapter opens with Bella and Alice already in the plane-they are in a frantic hurry to save Edward. Alice tries to calm Bella by telling her that flying is faster than running. Alice calls Jasper on a phone in the plane and relays things she’s seeing-ways she thinks Edward will try to offend the Volturi. She convinces him that Bella is the only one who can truly save Edward, and stop him. After Alice hangs up, she explains to Bella that she won’t allow the rest of the family to come and fight because they won’t win and because she can’t risk loosing Jasper. He, after all, is her true love …

Chapter 13 “Killer”

It starts will Bella thinking about how she couldn’t just support Jacob and the pack and what they were doing. Bella decided that she couldn’t ignore the killings, but she still wants to protect him… She drives to the ?? house – it’s dark and looks empty. Surprisingly, Billy just shouts ‘come in’ when she pounds on the door, even so early in the morning. She mentions how Charlie and the guys are hunting wolves in the park, so Billy reveals that Jacob is sleeping. She storms into his room, and sure enough, Jake is there passed out in his same clothes as the night before. Bella lets him rest, and tells Billy to tell Jacob she’ll be waiting at the beach for him ….

Chapter 6. Friends

This chapter from New Moon is called Friends, and it continues right where Chapter 5 left off with Jacob and Bella working on the motorcycles, as Jacob catches up Bella on his sophomore year of school as well as his two best friends, Quil and Embry. Soon after, these bffs pop into the shed and we get full physical descriptions of them. Jacob introduces the group, and they recognize Bella as Charlie’s daughter. Then the guys start discussing SHOP… so Bella cuts out in order to go make dinner for Charlie, but not before discussing that they’ll go shopping for parts the next day, Sunday. And gentleman Jacob says he feels funny about letting her pay for the new motorcycle parts, as Quil and Embry give him a hard time for his crush on Bella …
